FTR Designs is the passion of interior designer Francine T. Rodriguez. Francine-who holds a B.S. degree in Interior Design/Architecture-apprenticed with Eric Smith/David Easton Designs in New York where she learned architectural detailing and the fundamentals of classical design under senior architect Ronald Czjaka. Francine then worked briefly for Beverly Ellsley in Westport before establishing FTR Designs in 1997.
Francine and her team-which includes custom millworkers, professional tradesmen and faux finish painters-have worked on numerous projects, including:
- Designer and construction manager-renovation of 1930s Georgian Mansion on Long Island Sound, Greenwich, CT.
- Designer and construction consultant-complete renovation of early 18th century Colonial farmhouse, Farmington, CT.
- Designer of kitchen, bathrooms and children's playroom in 1920s English Cotswald Mansion, Greenwich, CT.
- Designer and construction manager-renovation of modern home in North Greenwich, CT.
- Designer and construction manager-renovation of stone Center Hall Colonial, Darien, CT.
Francine is an allied member of ASID, the institute of Classical Architecture, Classical America, NKBA and a licensed home improvement contractor with knowledge of local building code requirements. Her background, experience and talented team allow FTR Designs to offer a complete end-to-end design solution-from design through construction/renovation to interior decorating.
